The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination(CISCE) is a private,non-governmental board of school in India. The council is commited to providing high quality education to the children. It conducts two examinations in India: The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education(ICSE) for Class 10 and the Indian School Certificate(ISC) for Class 12. Over 2300 schools in India and abroad are afilliated to the CISCE.

ICSE 10th and ISC 12th Board Exam Results 2023

The CISCE conducts the final examinations for ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) every year in the month of March. The results are announced by the end of May. The passing criteria for ICSE is 33% in each subject and 35% in each subject for ISC. Students who are unable to pass only one subject can appear for the compartment exam for that particular subject which will be held in the month of July. Those who fail in compartment exams, or those who fail in more than one subjects, must rewrite all the subjects taken in the next year.

ICSE Class 10 Exam Pattern 2023-24

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination(CISCE) has released ICSE class 10 Exam Pattern 2023-24. For AY 2023-24, the ICSE board exam will be held only once. ICSE Class 10 board exams 2024 will consist of multiple choice questions, short answers and detailed answers. The marking scheme for all the subjects will be 80% for theory exams and 20% for internal assesment.

Students appearing for ICSE Class 10 exams will have to opt for 7 subjects from the three groups:

• Group 1 consists of all compulsory subjects. The subjects in Group 1 are:

1. English

2. A second language

3. History, Civics and Geography

• Group 2 consists of 7 subjects and students are required to select 3 subjects from this group. The subjects in Group 2 are:

1. Mathematics

2. Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

3. Economics

4. Commercial Studies

5. A Modern Foreign Language

6. A Classical Language

7. Environmental Science

• Group 3 consists of below mentioned subjects and students will be required opt for 1 subject. The weightage of the subject selected from group 3 will be 50 marks for theory exam and 50 marks for internal assesment:

ISC Class 12 Exam Pattern 2023-24

Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) released the ISC 2024 Exam Pattern for Class 12th. For AY 2023-24, the ISC board exam will be held only once. ISC Class 12 board exams 2024 will consist of multiple choice questions, short answers and detailed answers. The weightage for theory exams will be 80 marks and for internal assesment will be 20 marks. All the students preparing for the ISC exam need to select English as a compulsory subject along with three, four or five elective subjects. Students cannot appear for more than 6 subjects. The Time Duration for each exam will be 3 hours.Elective Subjects students can opt for include:
